Course Overview:
Today’s composite systems enable clinicians to truly be artists by conservatively and aesthetically creating life-like restorations that emulate the beauty of the natural tooth structure. However, rehabilitating or enhancing a smile with direct composite resins can be a challenge. The task not only requires an understanding of the intricacies of shade selection, but also a mastery of replicating the uniqueness of natural tooth morphology and luster of the restoration. In this hands-on workshop, Dr. Schmedding will demonstrate the key elements and methods for creating lifelike restorations, with new injection molding techniques and digitally designed stents as well as with traditional layered techniques & matrices. Injected molded, direct composite veneers as well as restoring peg laterals and closing diastemas will be discussed, demonstration & practiced in this anterior direct restorative workshop.

About the Speaker:
Dr. Troy Schmedding is a honors graduate of the Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco, California. He maintains a private practice in Walnut
Creek, CA where he focuses on aesthetic and functional dentistry. An Accredited member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, he lectures both nationally and internationally on aesthetics and restorative materials. He has also written and published numerous articles on restorative materials and protocols in numerous dental magazines. Dr Schmedding also serves as a Key Opinion
Leader for numerous manufacturers helping develop and bring new products to market.
NorCalAGD Cancellation and Refund Policy:
Registrations are subject to a $50 non-refundable processing fee. Cancellations made by email seven days prior to the course date will receive a full refund less the $50 processing fee. Cancellations made within the week prior to the course date will receive a 50% refund less the $50 processing fee. Transfer of a registration to another name will be considered by email request through date of registration.
The Northern California AGD is designated as an Approved PACE Program Provider by the Academy of General Dentistry. The formal continuing education programs of this program provider are accepted by the AGD for Fellowship/Mastership and membership maintenance credit. Approval does not imply acceptance by state of provincial boards of dentistry or AGD endorsement. The current term of approval extends from (8/1/2025) to (7/31/2029).
