The California Dental Practice Act is the body of laws in the California Business and Professions Code and the California Code of Regulations governing dental professionals. This course fulfills the California requirement for 2 hours of Dental Practice Act education.
Understand the role of the Dental Board of California.
Know the scope of practice for auxiliaries
Direct and indirect supervision of clinical tasks.
Understand components of licensure and license renewal.
Understand enforcement ability of the Dental Board.
About the Speaker:
Ms. Goldman, a native Northern Californian, specializes in defending dentists, specialists, and other doctors and small to mid-size employers, in the areas of business and employment law. In the employment law area, Ms. Goldman assists clients in the following subject matters: wage and hour, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wrongful termination. Ms. Goldman assists with office policy manuals, implementing new policies and unpacking changes in the law. She advices on terminations, pregnancy and disability issues, and general HR compliance.
In the business law arena, Ms. Goldman provides transactional assistance including drafting and negotiating associate agreements, professional dental/medical practice sales, partnership and shareholder agreements, and space sharing agreements and leases. She also helps form and maintain California entities formation including corporations, and LLCs. Additionally, Ms. Goldman provides guidance and counseling on adherence to the rules and regulations related to the practice of dentistry.
Ms. Goldman lectures to academic institutions, professional societies and study clubs on the topics of buying/selling practices, business law, employment law, and other related topics. In her free time, she enjoys hiking and running with her dogs in the great outdoors! She also enjoys the San Francisco Giants and Golden State Warriors.
NCAGD Cancellation and Refund Policy:
Registrations are subject to a $25 non-refundable processing fee. Cancellations made by email seven days prior to the course date will receive a full refund less the $25 processing fee. Cancellations made within the week prior to the course date will receive a 50% refund less the $25 processing fee. Transfer of a registration to another name will be considered by email request through date of registration.
The Northern California AGD is designated as an Approved PACE Program Provider by the Academy of General Dentistry. The formal continuing education programs of this program provider are accepted by the AGD for Fellowship/Mastership and membership maintenance credit. Approval does not imply acceptance by state of provincial boards of dentistry or AGD endorsement. The current term of approval extends from (8/1/2021) to (7/31/2025).
